For pacifists and Christians of today,the reports of wars and revolutions far away are a big and growing problem. 

The state terrestrial news bulletins bring only the scent of demons and the voices of warmongering journalists and faraway politicians.

A palliative 

Turn BBC and US public news broadcasts off and listen to music. State news bulletins by radio and TV stations to Northern Ireland and to the South weave illusions and spin myths.

One of those myths that we have something to admire in "the more socially-aware Scandinavians". Those people are so hungry and starved of money in their conflict-ridden societies that they would bite the hand off you if you offered them a morsel of bread or kill for a can of scented herring. They long ago gave up on the idea of work and have settled on the role of rock stars,beauty queens and porn stars. Their countries are not known as Scandinavia at all,they are Baltic states. They are uited in poverty and ignorance. Pay no heed to British-Irish state media raimeis.

Behind the journalists stand the orchestrators of this raimeis, the big-salary media executives and well-heeled editors, those who shout loudest for war at the rostrum in times of international crisis and disagreements between nations and peoples. News editors guidelines and orders to suppress independent communication and social media and to censor information that does not come from government bodies. Amongst these,we count wee dafties,police whoremongers and private charity experts such as Alasdair Campbell, Jonathan Powell, Anthony Blair and spies.

The law to legalise Sunday gambling will leave many gambling addicts with empty plates and empty bellies and pirouette the drugs problem out of control. Every sentient person knows that some chronic gamblers sell drugs to fund their addiction and cover their losses.

Is anyone in our Northern Minister of Communities party,Sinn Fein,in control or what has become of answerability to the public and moral responsibility in the Northern Assembly? Likewise,why does a syncretic consensus dictate that grocery stores can sell alcohol and public houses open on Good Friday?

I,the author, have put this article on a blog directed at working people and trade unionists,but why?

As every working class and marginalised person knows,drugs are a burning issue of our time as is gambling.

Hatred of democracy and elections on the part of the police...the problem elucidated in this post, that being a society with ineffectual governance in Northern Ireland...

Recent experience of our unbalanced political society in the North of Ireland shows that it is only women who are in any way animated by politics.

Vote for at least some of these ungrateful fools but never a woman. If you do,the police will hand republicans, nationalists and democrats over to the custody of doctors. The police know instinctively that they must humiliate and degrade every sentient Catholic and sensible graduate. Lawyers and Northern politicians never interfere with what Labour and Tories call national security and the agenda for Sinn Fein is set by the British Government. Tony Blair did not accept a single section of the UN Declaration on Human Rights. That resulted in the mess created by politicians for judges and legal professionals to unravel.

At this Christmas time it does well to remember that money gets you things in shops. Most gamblers have no respect for either money or man because they are crypto-Marxists or semi-criminals.

Getting treatment for a gambling addiction is almost impossible. Unlike other addictions, gambling is a secret yearning which conceals serious problems of personal adjustment and lack of charitable purpose and belief in anything of a causative and moral nature.

If you want to read speculation about who has been betrayed or is about to be betrayed,buy your preferred choice of newspaper on a Tuesday. If you want the facts about health and holistic medicine buy it on a Thursday. On Saturday,you will discover the guilty parties in fraud and murder or sex crime cases never on a Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday and Thursday are the days of betrayal in the Christian canon of days.

Most journalists,either music or print,get drunk on Fridays,so do not buy a Saturday newspaper. Crime is of no interest to any sensible person unless it concerns them personally or a relative. The editions in question are written when journalists are drunk or recovering from a hangover. Alcohol releases tensions and loosens tongues. If you want a measure of integral commentary from a staid old journalist, buy the newspaper of your choice on a Sunday. It is argued that Sunday is the only really truthful day of a Christian publication or proper news commentary because Catholic journalists work on a Sunday.

Crime journalism in Ireland

Very little crime reporting in Ireland comes from the scene of a crime and the location of an incident involving police . Most news programmes are commentaries from a television or radio studio,one journalist talking to another. The BBC was exposed for its lying, jingoistic news reporting in 2002-3 during the Blair government's war preparations by myself. Nobody else objected least of all mouthpieces such as Eaman Mc Cann and Banger-Barrett-Cusick. News magazines, newspapers and television stations no longer have the resources to send reporters to warzones. Similarly,the viewers, readers and listeners have falling attention thresholds and lower expectations from public broadcasting and the print media. The terrestrial media has largely been superceded by cultural pap,dishwater listening, a dystopian media and saccharine television. (In the 1982-3 political season I set out to appeal to 'the lowest common denominator' with a slogan,"One people,One nation,One party" and national democratic social demands by way of Sinn Fein slogans and election manifestos in unfolding order from 2010 to four elections hence, 2020.The latter 'political' proposals I committed to paper in 2009 and forwarded to Sean Lynch).

RTE,the terrestrial media

Michael Reynolds,the RTE Crime Reporter,clearly never leaves the news room and is entirely dependent on Garda press releases. Nolan of Radio Ulster styles his self-serving radio pontificating on behalf of powerful,vested interests The Biggest Show in the Country. He is a self-inflating bore even worse than David Dunseath or Paddy O Flaherty or Willie Flackes or John Bennett or even Mike Nesbitt and Paul Clarke. The only Northern journalists who felt for their audience were Brian Moore and Charles Witherspoon and the star of Teatime with Tommy of UTV. The others were and are egging rival parties on to tear welts out of one another's backs for public entertainment. Their news broadcasts are feasted on by rich businessmen,idle hands and dossers on the Falls Road in Belfast.

Police and journalists 

The onlooker sees in surreptitious infringements of freedom concerted attempts to undermine and violate international agreements and treaties which bind government and the state to respect human rights. The truth about war and empire-building rarely features in mainstream journalism. Eventually,the police attack even lazy Establishment journalists.

War journalism

No good comes of protracted violence against the state. Terror elicits security measures and open censorship. In Northern Ireland,the contemporary "security situation" seems to have the same characteristics as the highly-charged political atmosphere. That "situation" is met by widespread indifference and media concupiscence with the oppressor.

Attempts to make the police answerable to the courts and civil society have failed miserably. They are chronic offenders in terms of breaches of human rights. They seek to hide behind the patina of political normality and civic peace.

Let us not fool ourselves,Northerners,the Irish News is a tramp's newspaper,owned by tramps,written by tramps,sold by tramps,for tramps,all with the feral intention of causing annoyance and nuisance. Clericalist rags owned by wealthy parasites are the same.

And the opposite to clericalism,the nationalist and republican legacy?

Go to France if you want to see where nationalism and republicanism leads ....violence,crime,thuggery,theft, hooliganism and the complete neglect of the poor. Witness the 'modern' dwellings that are only 'slums-in-the-air'. 

In France and Germany, look at the cripples wandering the streets for want of better health care and the problem of homelessness. We see a similar situation in every country of Europe to a greater or lesser extent. The normal laws of civil governance have been flouted by vultures and financial parasites in Europe (and America). In the petty bourgeois idyll of "good,sound, republican families" in the South, we see a society full of homeless people,a society for the few not the many. Newspapers on Saturday and Sunday

Do not indulge female politicians and rancid journalists appetite for self-publicity on a Saturday or Sunday. It never changes events but sends readers, bi-partisan authors and independent writers who  it treats as onlookers around the bend. In newsagents, besides the daily leavings of media magnates, cigarettes are for sale. That is what an amateur politician such as a newsagent really wants to sell yourself. Cigarettes are much more profitable and likely to attract regular buyers.

The yellow press in the South of Ireland

The perverse Sunday World and Irish Daily Star are newspaper outlets for media syndicates and armed gangs,not forgetting the people they mix with, the police, political amateurs and journalistic and literary wannabes.

Television and radio journalists

Doctored TV and radio broadcasts are not welcome any longer in modern countries. Their broadcasts consist of publicity downloads of false information from the internet. Note,for example,the deceptive remarks on the revival of the railways for Ireland, something I have argued for since 1980. Those ideas were plagiarised by hopeless pedants in Sinn Fein and Official Unionist parties. Other freeloaders such as Eaman Rogan of Translink and Irish Rail joined in the short-lived circus surrounding the attempt to restore railway transport. The BBC journalists are typical of those plagiarists. One,in particular,Mr.William Crawley of the BBC never acknowledges the source of his shabby Radio Ulster news magazine programmes. Nor does he publicise the stories about listeners he and that station are carrying back to MI 5 Interns at the BBC such as Colm Bryce (Breislauer) to police and doctors.

The nationalist alternatives to the BBC

The rotten nationalist press written by lickspittle journalists in Northern Ireland is intended to please the Belfast corner-boys, Catholic priests and  drunken sportsmen. This press is the torrid, penny-a-liner scribbling that many buy but few read apart that is from the sports journalism, which manifests the real concern of the idle and under-employed classes.

The Irish News,that perverse,clerical rag tied to the Catholic judiciary is owned by the Fitzpatrick family. The ultimate guarrantor of the newspaper's finances is the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

That fact of Northern politics is why petite bourgeois socialists have emerged to confront the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church appear like paragons of virtue against the background of dishwater journalism and female literary hen-peckers.

Socialism? Cross-community politics?

Let all men and women of goodwill continue with the work of those who brought radicalism to Belfast and the North. Let us support not just socialist journalism but radical literature,bookshops and publishing houses but only on a reciprocal basis,so hated by Sinn Fein's nationalist 'bevy of beauties'.

The wider picture? The public dimension?

Radicalism is better than 'pissing our money up against a wall on a Saturday night' with a 'ticket-of-leave man' i.e.a probationary offender or someone on day-release from a psychiatric institution or prison institution.

The rotten old Irish News backs doctors, idle,cack-handed nurses and social workers to the hilt.

Economic news

Like it or loathe it, politicians and journalists are Siamese Twins. They are interconnected and totally dependent on each other.

Not content with having journalistic mouthpieces who give their activities publicity,the trade union 'tops' have their own journalists and mouthpieces. The latter openly voice their employers' private opinions until they are found out and sacked. If a woman is at the top of your union,she will have two competing voices,both vying for her attention and favours. It is at Christmas and Easter that you will see if they are genuinely committed to trade unionists who they claim to represent. Most trade union officials, particularly those who have been passed over for promotion or a better-paid position in that or another trade union,do not care a fig about anyone,not even themselves much less members of their own families.

We say of news bulletins about wage disputes or battles over work terms and conditions, within certain limits take the trade union side. Ignore self-inflating bores and spoofers in the media since "they are full of their own sense of self-importance". Those people are the road to no town and the middle-class spokesmen of powerful vested interests. Some idle ambicionados from 'working class backgrounds ' do make it on to the BBC but those people are solely concerned with political trivia, gainsaying the victory of the poor and beaten down against a loaded cosh.They too are a safe pair of hands "steering the ship of state onto the rocks" since a profound crisis of authority has hit the US as it did the Soviet Union some decades ago and East Germany, Hungary and Poland even earlier.

While it is easy to mock belles esprites as 'gay' as I once did,the truth will out in journalism and in politics where journalists concupiscence with an oppressor and shady financial dealings have been undertaken by our 'political saviours' . The truth emerges about other public figures such as solicitors and doctors and judges and "media celebrities".

The popcorn press and commercial broadcasting may be first into the fray with breaking news. However,it is difficult not to see in this contra-flow the same old police broadcasting manipulation. 

Why?

Like it or not,only a serious public broadcaster will carry real news with proper commentaries and informed opinion,never will-o'-the-wisp female radio broadcasters.

The American continent is full of the latter type of female commercial broadcasting puffballs and their colleagues,self-inflating male bores who ignore intelligent people for the filthy lucre of popularity with the dim-witted. Any properly-run country has intelligent people in broadcasting networks which are publicly-owned and controlled,not at the whim of Tory media barons. One of those politicians who thrived on private broadcasting,Reagan,was a hoaxer who appealed to the Lowest Common Denominator in everybody and did irreparable harm to his own country and other countries with airhead speeches about 'free-market'  economics. His was a term in power which left no lasting legacy other than hidden inflation,fiscal chaos and industrial ruin.

When you find out how garbled, untruthful reports by female reporters and journalists are taken for fact, you realise that the proper place for women is in the home. Women get nothing about politics or society right.Witness the chaos in a female dominated Stormont Assembly presiding over an idle population of this tiny principality, an idle population which numbers one third of the economically active workforce.

As someone who has stopped buying most newspapers because of my rejection of the allegations against priests,I say that the allegations being levelled are fiction and originate largely with those two interrelated occupations,doctors and police.

Deluded ideaisation from these two sets of 'intermediaries' are designed to destroy the positives in our society and reduce us all to the level of silent witnesses to medical murder and police crime.

The accusations are invariably manufactured by over examination and inaccurate recall in doctors surgeries.

The main body of correspondents who profit from these allegations are the professions, people with no productive roles in our society.

Ignore these allegations. 

Silence the hatred and do not be taken in by these middle class snake oil salesmen.

The working man and elections. A Rallying Cry.

Those who create with hand or mind the wealth of society and those who are maintained as pensioners, disabled, sick or unemployed should listen closely to the leaders of organised labour before they cast their votes in any election.

Forget the naysayers and PROPHETS OF DOOM and stick to the Labour Party as your Number One and Only choice. In the South of Ireland? The Irish Labour Party,or Social Democrats,or in the North of Ireland the Social Democratic and Labour Party,or a candidate endorsed by trades unions.In Northern Ireland we have a very different sort of political culture. So,better still,vote for someone who has ended up in the same situation as yourself,or even worse than yourself,not someone who moves from one comfortable job to another without reasonable explanation. Do not waste your vote on someone who does not state publicly and openly that he is committed to solely peaceful means and political debate with his opponents and telling the police what he knows about crime, particularly drugs-related violence. Vote for someone who does not associate with hooligans,thugs, vigilantees or gangs.

Vote only for an honest politician who tells the truth openly and who publicly stands up for the whole community.

NEVER  vote for a candidate who is not for THE DEMOCRACY OF THE 99%.

Throw aside Get Rich Quick politics and VOTE WITH YOUR HEAD,NOT WITH YOUR HEART.

Your children and family come first. Not your drinking friends.

Politicians and police. In extremis

All politicians have merits but very few of them are prepared to act or speak up for someone they do not personally know unless their Council seat depends on it. That's how they make their money. Rarely will a politician speak up for any individual particularly against the police and medical profession. The police and DUP and Orange Order are the people Sinn Fein and poor loyalist get their orders from. Politicians think doctors can do no wrong. Policemen help doctors against people suing doctors for compensation for outrageous blunders and criminal neglect or, merely,invoking a solicitor's protection or complaining about a doctor or policeman. A bad policeman or politician always gets found out in the end and haunts their constituent or constituents who exposed them for the rest of their lives. Ex-policemen create a lot of trouble for litigants. After retirement policemen have a lot of power. An incompetent doctor or solicitor does the same thing as an ex-policeman. All interfere with court proceedings and hinder timely outcomes when not obstructing justice and OFTEN undermining the rule of law.

A timely remedy?

 Write directly to the Chief Constable or talk  to a Chief Superintendent if you have any problems with any of the above professional people. They are responsible for a lot of educated people's problems, them and nobody else.

Revolution. Democratic or social?

The question of revolution i.e. a profound political or social transformation is neither an exclusively violent or peaceful event, national or international but is a sometimes slow, sometimes dramatic, growing over from one form of political and social arrangement and economy to a very different type.

Forget blather about counterrevolution in Germany and Czechoslovakia. There was a democratic movement for change and higher living standards, nothing else. There was no subsequent reversal of social attainments although some of those social gains were put on a new economic basis, particularly in Czechoslovakia and in East Germany.

In Czechoslovakia and Germany and Russia, it is commonly acknowledged that Die Wende was a democratic movement for higher living standards,an opening up to the West,a blowing off of the political cobwebs and an end to political and economic atrophy.

The Revolution of 1917 in Russia was likewise for "Peace,Bread and Land" in October and for "pure" democracy in February. Both revolutions were a rejection of war and autocracy and for democracy. Those who claim otherwise are out of touch with reality.

All countries and states experience a revolution sooner or later be it glorious or ignominious and sometimes it brings more heat than light. All revolution has its origins in stagnation or arbitrary rule. It is up to all of us in the West and North America to cast our vote for temperance and honesty and avoid the disruptive occasion of the clamour of arms and attendant  fall or eclipse followed by pomp and circumstance. 

Violent socialist revolution still has its secret admirers hidden away in the press and concealed behind the verbiage of television producers and news editors.

Tell anybody that you believe in a democratic revolution and they will often fly into a rage in the manner of an hysteric or doctor of Indian origin, British Tory or other type of madman. 

We have the Gilroys,the Donegans and Lynchs to thank for that in Fermanagh.

However,cast your minds back, partisans of dying movements and bipolar politics,to the American Revolution of 1776,not the first by any stretch of the imagination,and you will see the elephant in the room in Marx's dictatorship of the proletariat. The central problem of a so-called dictatorship of the proletariat is the battle for democracy i.e. the thorough-going,root-and-branch,periodic transformation of society and the  need for far-going reforms.

 The strictures of constitutional monarchy and the congealed atrophy and embedded political detritus of ages prevented Blair from launching a democratic revolution in Britain. The police acting under the direction of MI 6 may have poisoned him with Immobilon at the instigation of Thatcher and Sir Geoffrey Howe in August 2004.

China too must be brought into the reckoning in terms of pilotting a path to peace, democracy and equality before the law and,of course, Human Rights.

Violence 

Without talking about or referring to violent revolution -and that does happen where reaction and force majeure block any hope of progress for the majority and the armed garrison is wavering and plotting a mutiny-it is better to choose the path of peace. I will in other blogs in my profile answer the question as to why historians and reporters should turn to "the Nazi quick-step" (Der Spielplan, July-August 1988) or the orders of "a junior Lenin limbering up" (John Bowyer Bell,1983,Sunday Press) for real content to a democratic transformation or violent overturn.

Where there is international conflict and internecine civil war and it is invariably not a very good judgement of the situation to describe revolution as anything other than a struggle for civil rights or national sovereignty,"jaw-jaw" is the best option over "war-war".

When however there is aggression or international reaction of the type of "militant atheism and racist barbarism" (Pope Benedict) then the country attacked must resolve in association with the comity of nations and offended parties,races and groups of people both directly and indirectly affected to seek a path to nothing short of "total victory" and "the complete surrender of the aggressor".

 That happened in the last century and is clearly happening in the Ukraine now with a NATO encirclement manoeuvre. Therefore, sensible,well-adjusted people in other countries should hold out the hand of conditional welcome to Ukrainian refugees and offer humanitarian aid while scoring their government.

THAT assistance,not filibustering about a far away country represents a DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION.

The post-1945 scenario 

Following the wars of empires came the wars of classes. That outcome has now been superceded by the forces of Progress against chaos. 

Trotskyites, Communists and anarchists are the definite disciples of Father Chaos,those isolated people and a few headaches such as Neal Davidson and soldiers,usually those in very senior positions in their respective organisations.

The Irishman as insurgent or revolutionary? 

As Bill Belloni said in 1986,"I'll leave any fighting to real heroes such as you,Joe,who work for a living. I'm off so fuck this for a game of soldiers".

That is why a small band of IRA volunteers who joined the IRA after 1981- not the internment "arrest operation" to quell civil disturbances such as Bloody Sunday is still known to this day as "Heroes of the SAS". 

Why,so?

 They kept their cool in a revolutionary situation engineered by their leaders and remembered that they were volunteers and dressed in mufti because they were responding to "an aggressive incursion" by a hostile army from  another country.

Ringleaders and led?

Perhaps,as I put it in 2001-3,"One bullet in Baghdad would solve the whole problem but it has to come from inside Saddam's entourage or Army and another in London".

The Russian Revolution of February 1917 had nothing to do with Lenin, Trotsky or Stalin. They were far away and under close surveillance and arrest or imprisoned.

It was the work of people such as Axelrod and,particularly,Parvus. They wanted social democracy and reforms to protect the poor and most vulnerable and had long seen through the bookish truisms of Lenin,a man who was forever engaged in infighting and catcalling and backstabbing. Lenin was a man who who would fight with his own shadow. 

That Lenin characteristic became clear in the West in the 1920's when his works were first published and he was characterised by Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in the boxing short comedy film as was Marx by the Marx Brothers.

The October Revolution 

Lenin took over at the helm after he rallied war-weary soldiers and the peasantry for Peace,Bread and Land.

The democrats?

Robertson ( The Russian Revolution,1967,UK) notes that Parvus received 30 million gold francs to his Swiss bank account to take Russia out of the war. That money came from the German Treasury in 1917. Chaos and disorder soon followed because money convinces the rioter and criminal to take to the streets.

 The assistance of the poor can be bought and bought cheap as was that of those other 'democratic' revolutionaries, the Provos,in our own country.

 Their paymasters were the Irish Government. They transferred funds to the Citizens Defence Committees.

 Wealthy Irish Americans also helped fund insurrection and the Northern imbroglio until it crashed civil society and the Southern economy and the Irish institutions of state were undermined openly and privately by these 'soldiers games'.

Any party which claims that it is revolutionary or intent on serious social change that does not have a newspaper or bulletin or a bookshop or an antiquariat or library is not to be believed and its members should be sent on their way with kicks and blows. Even then, so-called revolutionary socialists usually fake radical leanings. In a world where capital accumulates less openly in its traditional homelands and trade proceeds largely unimpeded-ignore BBC headaches and US sophomores-the real game of a democratic revolution shifted to the East three decades ago and more.

It has to be remembered that Ireland has never had a social revolution other than the agricultural Revolution of 1882-1913.

Between 1886 and 1912 land was transferred out of the hand of settler seigneurs and sold to those who worked it.

There has never been a socialist revolution here. What we had instead was a strong dose of national democracy.

National democracy was based on Thirties nationalist socialism or corporatism.

In the Ireland of the early twenties,domestic capitalism was so weak and big farmers so brutally self-interested that small businessmen formed a ring around the handbags to magic a social transformation and bring the poor on board.

In Germany and Italy,corporatism was based on the home market. The entire corpus of domestic capital was weak and labour unrest rampant.In both countries, surplus value was directed into self-aggrandisement and preparations for war.

Ireland was not dissimilar to the Soviet Union but property and land remained largely in private  hands. In the case of capital accumulation and agriculture, property and land remained entirely. That was very unlike the murderous arrangements in the Soviet Union. There everything was based on commonality.
