Ideology. The stereotyping of the poor by loudmouths and idle hands

One of the common characteristics of self-inflating bores,hasbeens,know-alls,hurlers-on-the-ditch,Marxist agitators, self-appointed popular 'leaders' and "untaught professors" is their references to 'lumpen' elements and those they refer to as "mentally ill".

 Who can they mean? 

They endeavour to teach what they have not learned to quote from Marx's letter to Bracke, Liebknecht and others (1875).

We say to you,"Can you not stop being a harbinger of doom harping on about things that you do not understand? Can you not see the person behind the label?"

People are people and many change their class.

The classification as lumpen derives from Marx. The classes of Marx and others, notably the Church socialists,are not fixed in time and space. 

Ignore bar-room spoofers and pontificating bores. If you have difficulty understanding labour and classes and democratic socialist politics,begin with workers as wage labourers and poor people as poor people. Proceed from there. 

Income differentials as between the working class and the poor who are sustained by welfare doles have narrowed in those countries whose ruling class Marx agitated against. In those which have not followed his doctrines of social justice,the multi-millionaires pay no more than 25% income tax and flat rate taxation advocates are winning out. In the latter instance,I point to the United States.

Income narrowing between high-paid worker and unemployed and the poor owes nothing to modern trade unions. Those changes are due to political intervention. Trade unions and the trade union bureaucracy are largely irrelevant because of modern approaches to the resolution of social conflicts in society as between wages and welfare rates.

The passage of equal pay legislation and minimum wage acts and the development of social initiatives in Europe have seen off most revolutionary political conflicts between the classes. 

In Germany,first land of state capitalism (and a measure of social insurance) Marxists are viewed as extremists.

Elsewhere income equity is the outcome of democratic socialism at a political level.

The Papacy. Moral theology 

As between worker and poor,the Catholic Church preaches a preferential option for the poor. The Victorian capital  expansion and social dichotomy which originates with the breakdown of feudalism led to the growth of great differentials in income. Those differences were consolidated by government,employers and,latterly,trade unions, all.

Modern times

Anyone who thinks that a trade union official or officials or,on the other side of the equation,a shopkeeper, doctor or lawyer gives a fig for the poor is fooling himself. They certainly do not.

However,the Church does not regard a poor person as an "eejit" and regards a trade union official or "revolutionary socialist" as "someone who may have to be killed" (Rerum Novarum, Pope Leo X111).

Reflections

While the socialist and socialists of a democratic type regard the clergy of all faiths as irrelevant and as Jesus referred to them,"blind guides",few criticise their traditional support for organised charity. In practice the Catholic Church's preferential option for the poor exists without lowering expectations for the many or reversing social gains for the poor.

Ultraleftism. Ridiculous claims made by Russian Marxists,German peaceniks,Irish Republicans and Indian doctors.

Those in Ireland who have traditionally taken succour from the movement for national self-determination and economic independence but who have no association as militants of Sinn Fein would sell their souls for a pint of beer. That is how they are paid for their ultraleftist hashing about nothing in particular. Those 'brave souls and proud internationalists'and Irish Unity stalwarts are to be found in every nationalist public house and hostelry in Ireland holding up the rafters.

They have other confreres in various places whose public ruminations run through the establishment media like a thick rope choking the life out of the struggling semblances of democracy which appeared over forty years ago.

Let us examine their didactic formulations.

The bizarre nonsense talked by these Stalin Marxists in a divided and troubled world- was it ever any different we must ask ourselves- compares well with the even more bizarre rubbish spouted by German peaceniks and Irish Republicans that everyone is wrong apart from them but that all workers are equal in potential and ability.

We are all equal in the eyes of the law at preliminary level but,contrary to Marx's deterministic philosophising,we are not equal in labour productivity. That contention is an old English fable. Again,puzzle not if there is Marx's Universal Equivalent in money or equality in the value of the labour power of each worker because there is rarely  in the former instance and never in the latter instance. Disregard also the claims of the eventual alignment of international comparative rates of profitability and national relative rates of capital accumulation...

As for the Indian medical bookworms,have they read nothing written since 1948? An ingrained characteristic of Indian doctors' training is the unshakeable belief in Lysenko's socio-biogenetics. That is,that social factors can modify the human gene. Rather,can they not simply accept that conscious feelings  pass fleetingly through  the human mind. 

Anything else has the standing of a monstrous CPSU invention.

No universal biogenetic determinism rather emotional reflexes,thoughts and emotions are but ships in the night!

Take note,good gentlemen. In 1948, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union endorsed Lysenko's "theory",a deterministic anachronism originally conjured up by Lamarck in Germany in the 1860's. Biogenetics is the hallmark of two countries taking the police route to the resolution of internal political stresses a in a framework of international tension.

Socio-biogenetics? The real source was Bastiat in the 1850's. He is a touchstone for our own hole-and-corner reformers such as Bryce and Barrett.

What is an ultra-leftist or political extremist?

Someone who does not vote and openly advocates abstention in an election or leaving a trade union based on fee-paying membership. There is one qualification to the general rule to abstention from voting. Where a profound shift or democratic revolution is underway or people are slipping into a death necrosis,all bets are off and abstention is the only viable and sane choice.

The relevance of socialism to any situation is that many political and industrial matters can not be amicably resolved. Post-Fall. Marx? Lenin?

The Western world should remember that by applying themselves to the study of revolution and social organisation, Marx and Lenin did a lot of good too. They led great political and economic change though some Jews,West Africans,Irish Catholics and English Catholics might find Marx's writings deeply offensive.

What would be the effects of Communist parties calling it a day? 

Notwithstanding childish blunders and iconoclasm ('otzovism' , God-building, Lenin, 1911-3) that outcome would be a bodyblow to the trade union movement.

Some people complain too much, like myself. Others insisted in the past that revolutionaries brush up their act. By taking that viewpoint,we were and are perhaps engaging in what may have been a short-sighted and dangerous folly. 

My bon mot for the imminent break-up of the Soviet Union was, "Soviet socialism must die so that World Communism can live". Material conditions lay at the root of the democratic revolution and are ever more relevant to contemporary society. By 1989,due to economic crisis Soviet socialism had arrived at its final destination. The political turnaround was founded on a developmental change in attitudes to property rights.

Internationalism. National democracy. Lessons for contemporary left-wing parties

The CPSU and its clientele needed to be brought to their senses and brought to realise that national democracy and change comes from within a country,not a tawdry bookshop in socialist occupation in the West offering some basic "flu remedy" leading to social polarisation or relative industrial decline.

In my 'world play' of July-August 1988 (Der Spielplan ,July-August,Dublin) I was taken to have missed the whole point. However,no country bears out better the truths of scientific socialism when set against a rapidly expanding world market,those truths being that "It's money that matters," and the world market forms property relations.

Socialist unity

Can collective socialist party names in Ireland not be reshaped to one comprehensive party name on the left such as Labour and the sectarian spirit be given over for socialist unity.

That can only occur after the departure of Irish Secret Service agents such as Mc Cartan and every party's retinue of fair weather friends and bon litterateurs. 

Party names and long antiquated titles could be abandoned,the tasks of social democracy and industrial equity renewed and the march of collective progress begin again in a spirit of tolerance, respect and the abandonment of peculiar dogmas.

Playing Devil's Advocate for the Soviet Union 

Some redeeming characteristics of Communists must be mentioned at the risk of encouraging their hangers-on to come at the unsuspecting with cut-throat razors in their hand.

Communists are foes of entrenched interests, the privileged and the rich. They aren't  afraid to "answer their betters back" ("Der Spielplan", July-August 1988). 

When they have strong-willed, well-educated, mentally agile leaders they can confound the forces of populism and confront social backwardness and raise the poor to great heights to mark anyone's card and allow working people to throw brickbats at the housewives' choice of the day. (Women were the main obstacle to change.In the 1980's Margaret Thatcher was their "paragon of virtue").

The differences on the left in Britain

To be an English Labour voter,you only need to understand what a "toff" or snob is. If you vote socialist,you  recognise the difference, the fundamental difference,between rich and poor. A communist or revolutionary socialist believes that the fundamental means by which the capitalist system emerged was the organised,as distinct from the random,use of violence and repression.

A false dichotomy has been created in Irish Communist circles between Irish Military Intelligence agents and MI5 gangsters,those hoodlums whose only interest is in liquidating the Communist Party of Ireland and embezzling its assets. I am referring to Mc Cartan and O Murchu.

The ultimate 'experts' in creating this false dichotomy are the Federal Bureau of Investigation,a bunch of drug addicts taking their orders from Joe Biden and imperialists who want to extinguish the light of human freedom,knowledge and democratic politics.

With regards to the main protagonists in the advance from ape to man in Western societies,two prominent names stand out. Those names are Marx and Lenin. Also featuring prominently is Marx's literary executor, Friedrich Engels.

There are many leading facts to be discovered about Marx and Engels which iconoclasts reject.

Marx and Engels hijacked the English labour movement in the 1860's. They were left behind by the Germans at the 1875 Unity Conference and Engels rejected the demands which have become the basic tenets of modern socialism in the discussions on the Erfurt Programme of the German Social Democratic Party in 1891.

 In the 1840's Marx and Engels hoisted themselves  up on the back of the Communist League and created what became a great schism by forcing out the Christians such as Weitling. Weitling's emigration to the US gave rise to a constant cycle of packed meetings, conspiracies, showboating,rigged ballots,political grandstanding,verbal abuse and rhetorical handstands in trade union circles,all the trademarks of their ultraleft sects not political parties of the working class.

Trade unionists are usually middle-of-the-road in politics. While bolshy at times,they can be incentivised with higher wages to be more flexible and give way to employers demands for higher productivity.

Ireland,today

The "scientific socialists" attempt to hoist themselves up onto the back of workers and claim the credit for the actions of  others. Each and every one of them is at least a backslider and a curmudgeon,the road to no town. The Pbp group are a case in point. Inspired by old books that should be thrown out, this group is moving into the place allotted to it in a slabbering contest in the South.

The rival groups. Populists

In the North Sinn Fein's vote fell from 227 000 in the Assembly elections to 175 000 in the last local elections. Their core vote has been declining since its highpoint in the 2010's.

PBP,Sinn Fein and the people who inspire them such as the Workers Party are the mortal foes of any democratic socialist government. (The opportunists and the populists never give the poor and working man his say in public affairs. They say that rival parties exist by and thrive on media spin. Sinn Fein are often accused of intimidation).

 Only a minority of the traditional Irish party of opposition,the republicans, endeavour to help the thinking public with any success. Most of them resort to mob violence when their poverty of ideas is publicised.

Why the marginalisation of ultraleftists? 

It is their own doing. The democrats present themselves to the electorate regularly. Those who hope for a class-based revolution go by the name of modern-day Communists. They do not.

The active Communists number 11 throughout the island of Ireland. Barry Murray, Eugene Mc Cartan and Tommy Mc Kearney are irrelevant. In their perorations, they are blowing soap bubbles out of their backsides. In Ireland these Stalinists (or Communists) have always been irrelevant apart from to trade union officials. 

The eccentricities of the Communists everywhere do not matter to anyone who is possessed of even a modicum of common decency. They go around trying to hook young people and send the disgruntled affiliate into the arms of the jailer when he refuses to supply them with information that they intend to sell to the Gardai.

What can be rescued from the body of Marxist pedagogy on capitalism?

Marx's studies brilliantly characterised the dawn of the industrial movement.

 In his own lifetime, Marx's influence was dimmed by German Social Democrats and English trade unionists. On the anarchist spectrum,his legacy was largely obscured by Bakunin and Kropotkin.

When we hear Communists and their fellow travellers such as PBP and listen to their collective criticisms of the real working class movement,we say,"Now we see you in your true colours,neither democrats nor socialists, but semi-anarchist and pro-imperialist elements intent on sowing the seeds of economic ruin. You are harbingers of a change which will never come not least because you in your tiny groups styling themselves political parties do not want real change or actual improvements in the lives of those who you purport to speak on behalf of. That change would render you irrelevant to their needs. Address your remarks to your diminishing band of followers and leave me and my friends out of your grandiose schemes. You do not speak for me or anyone who I know."

The Marxist project,1858

Marx in Foundations of Political Economy (see Introduction,Grundrisse,1856-8) set out to write six different works. 

In the event he left only Volume 1 of Capital. That book focuses on the materialist conception of history, labour conditions,the origins and spread of industry,the profit motive,money and the accumulation of capital.

But regardless of the political, social and economic phantasmagoria of public life, there are many other dimensions of human life and social existence other than the former social Darwinism and historical materialism.

Many more?

Yes,but a salve for those who seek redemption and salvation in dusty old tomes....

The Old Mole (as he called himself) with his description of capital accumulation and writings which embrace the best working descriptions of political discontent and working class hostility to the rich,not forgetting his dialectical materialism, discovered many of the key aspects of modern social existence and historical development.

 Just because he cannot sit on our shoulders to give us political advice today does not mean that his writings are wrong in economic, historical or philosophical terms. However,we must approach them with caution because  they are deterministic.

The political legacy of Marxism has greatly diminished. People like myself believe in the legal and constitutional rights of man.The Rights of Man (with apologies to Tom Paine) are something the Germans and Russians might not respect but other countries put them at the centre of their way of life.

An apologia pro vitae eius

Despite their heartless outlooks, practices and ideas some scientific socialists are good-hearted. I am thinking of seasoned old campaigners on the moderate spectrum such as Kieran Allen and Willy Cumming but we cannot get away from the fact that theirs is a callous, inhuman and degrading ideology no better in its workings than slavery. 

A relationship of enslavement was precisely what the Russians found themselves in almost immediately after the consolidation of "the dictatorship of the proletariat". With the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly in November  1918 came the autocracy of first Lenin then the rabid dungmongering of Trotsky. That was succeeded by the Stalin Terror.

Some words of advice 

If you become entangled in the snares of Communists or the ideology of Stalinism and atheistic Bolshevism, consult a priest for guidance and absolution since it is a grave moral error requiring the Sacraments.

Revolutionary socialists and Communists sow division and hatred. Their enemy is the family and they seek to destroy the family and the church. They bring ruin not just to themselves but to others and to those who vote for them.

My advice is to vote Labour,social democrat or for a democratic candidate who stands for election regularly and at least goes to Mass or a place of worship occasionally.

Revolutionary socialism belongs to what is known as a place of rabid over-the-top shouting and bawling such as a marketplace. There the din of a thousand voices contend,a tower of Babel.

Amongst the dated concepts of revolutionary socialism is the inevitability of a dictatorship of the proletariat. 

Why do we call out this joint aim of the dolemen,petite bourgeois intelligentsia and French and Irish cutthroats?

Because social and working conditions are immeasurably better today in Britain and Ireland than in the  nineteenth century. The recidivists fall down in non-engagement with the political process, that being organised elections. True socialists (German socialists) sit on the fence and talk vaguely about trade unions,a topic they have little knowledge of. They claim to see themselves as in solidarity with every Tom,Dick and Harry who ever lifted a spade but have little knowledge of the working life. Nihilistic ideaisation leads to contempt for real politics. These people are part of an endangered species of rarefied old fairy godmother. 

Syndicalism and the Irish Communists

The CPI version of syndicalism in the 1930's gave way to the hole and corner reformism of the Irish Labour Party. This labour stew ferments into fringe journalism noone other than Indian fakirs take as coming from the heart.

The financial mainstay of these Stalinist irredentists is payment for informing MI 6 and the British Army about republicans and dissidents. Mc Cartan has been doing so since 1969.  Rarely does the truth become clear so practiced are the 'scientific socialists' in covering their tracks. In the case of O Murchu he stooped to murder on behalf of British Military Intelligence in 1974.

The British Army and their friends do not want political engagement by Irish people or civil rights protests or working class democracy. Irish nihilists perpetuate their apolitical views.

The current crop of "socialist" vanguardists?

We say to a bast... like Mc Cartan and his Garda handlers and the ex-British Army sergeant majors,"Not even you believe your empty rhetoric. You and the members of your tiny group are threatening and menacing corner-boys whose idea of politics is having someone evicted and sent back to the North,put out of a job or attacked with a cutthroat razor, knuckle-duster or breeze block. You'll die with your tongue hanging out for want of a drink. That is all you were paid for your proletarian exertions on behalf of British Military Intelligence and the dogends of society attracted to you and your affiliates."

As regards the other end of the CPI who claim the mantle of Connolly,democrats say that they are semi-anarchists drawn from the scum of all classes. 

The game has moved on past even the Irish trades unions to a society based on the primacy of politics,The Just Society.

Political engagements deliver social security, pensions, education, policing,roads,social supports, public and private housing and regulation. 

We say to the tinpot dictators and honorary proletarians,"The German statist model has been superceded and abolished in the West and East respectively."

Trade union government?

Very desirable BUT trade unionists don't give a hoot about the poor. When the levels of absolute poverty reached critical levels under Thatcher,Bush and Blair, real politicians had to step in and regulate the body politic by ironing out social differences.

Always good but the classic totalitarian model of "scientific socialism" was a society largely run by trade unions.

 Sane people say that the totalitarian model ignores the poor. It has bitten the dust in every country in the world.

Scientific socialists are people with no proper grounding in any field. They are people who do not know who their fathers were. Because of having had no authority figure in early life they have no standards to measure themselves by. They are cast adrift early and usually come a cropper early on in life. Those who were their role models are long dead.

They cannot live without police approval because it is the police who have the power to curtail their activities and force them to dissolve their group and to hand over their assets to their creditors. So-called Communists have done irreparable harm to the working class cause in Ireland by tying workers interests to the coattails of national democracy.

They do not see that national unity will come and old reactionary influences and out-of-date social formations fade with time.

Ignore Communists in Ireland,both them and those who they tell you to vote for. Tiny groups of ultra-leftists such as the Communists don't support anything objectively true and socially progressive.

Communism and Socialism

Dialectics as per Karl Marx teaches the interdependence and interrelationship of one to the other. Hegelian dialectics insofar as it stands in opposition to Marx preaches the permanence of certain social and political phenomena whereas Marx repeats after Aristotle that nothing is permanent and "All melts into the ether."

Marxism in our times is confined to small groups of political amateurs and sociologists so what has talk of Marxist dialectics led to other than rude and robust responses to oppression by the class conscious worker and poor man and talking shops for rich dilettantes?

It does well to remember the comely maidens and fireside generals and country wiseacres who pontificate,"Extremists cannot agree on anything for more than ten minutes together without it ending in catcalls or in them insulting one another." One anarchist agitator related to me if memory serves me right,"All of them including some democratic socialists like other people to do their job for them as they do in China but not in Vietnam. Vietnam is founded on respect, fair play and hard work. China and Vietnam came to blows for that very reason in 1978".

Communism

Lenin in 1921-22 discovered that which the St. Petersburg famine of 1919 made clear and the collapse of nationalised trusts in April 1918 demonstrated even earlier. (And earlier again,the example of the War Industries Committee in England in April 1916 and the subsequent growing labour unrest in Britain. Ditto, the impossible demands made by German state capitalism on workers in August 1917 and early 1918). 

What was this great enduring lesson of the social epoch in question?

The labour movement and trade unions in particular can not be bought off with flimsy promises and empty rhetoric. If Lenin had wanted to refresh his memory in 1919 he should have read his own oppositionist article "Soft words don't butter parsnips" (1905).

A quick transition from socialism to communism with communism being understood as more advanced in the years from 1917 to 1922?

In 1922 in launching the New Economic Plan,Lenin acknowledged that which distinguishes socialism from communism, namely, freedom. This was not a step backward  as he imagined,but a step forward. Socialism or the New Economic Plan has a private ownership dimension. War Communism, armed commonality,tried to ignore the desire to possess.

Russia? The experience of the past?

The New Economic Plan?

With hindsight,we see what it was back then..rapid recovery from chaos. Lenin's New Economic Plan goes to understanding Russia between 1921 and 1928.

Flexibility?

We  see in the private ownership of personal property, the lease-holding of factories, trade union 'government' and State freehold ownership of factories the key to a rapid turnaround from the economic maladies of 1913-1921. Russian economic problems were formed by the war exhaustion of 1917 and its well-known historic backwardness. In 1928 Russia regained its 1913 economic level.

Somewhat unusually, I view the combination of public and private property as "actually existing communism" in the same way that one might refer to nationalisation as "actually existing socialism".

Whether one is a bully like Irish or British and German politicians or a communist depends on your opinion on both national and world matters, particularly on problems of social development and economic affairs. 

The nub of the matter for socialist and Communist?

Nationalised trusts/ monopolies did not recognise inalienable human rights to either private property or subsistence payments from the Bolshevik government.

By 1928,the problems had become abundant after the agricultural mixed economy became an object of mass speculation, hoarding and price-fixing. These problems were increased by rural stubbornness and obstinacy.

 The modern Russian economic system recognises the basic tenet of progress in normal existence that public ownership is irreversible to a very great extent. 

Problems with a mixed economy in a democratic, multi-party polis?

Problems and "contradictions which arise from real life" can be ironed out by political debate and responsible well-informed leaders. Russia is a much better place than in 1989. What wishful thinkers in the Western  media failed to report in 1991 was that the trade unions called time on the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

 Today?

 There is a balanced budget and a wise, learned and experienced man at the helm.

In Britain recently we had the brutal police terror and rampant inequality of Blair's New Labour Britain. How so? I was one of the multitude deserted by the Sinn Fein hangmen. In my case,I was interned for five years three months by the English Catholic maniac after the signing of the Good Friday Agreement.For ten months of that period,I had to subsist on £12.25 per week. Another sociopath and cripple,Vincent Davidson, declared an income of £400 000 in the following tax year of 2008-9.

The rule of law in Blair's Britain? Good governance?

 Blair's Britain was a society and country put on a path to ruin due to the lack of effective regulation of doctors, police and psychiatrists. We see in his ravings and tawdry legacy not a true democracy or Labour alternative to the Tories and,in Northern Ireland ,a hollow syncretism of opposing viewpoints. The Catholic Church created the Good Friday Agreement and a failed policing and judicial model.

Ambivalent people such as Tony Blair make good politicians but bad judges of people. He was useless in his chosen field,law. He had to evacuate his chambers and enter politics once his Master realised that he was a clown,a fool and an imposter. He was well-known before he became involved in politics for not knowing a single topic of law properly. In politics,he wanted to give speeches,'lead from the front' and 'organise' intractable and irredeemable chaos.

Blair and Thatcher? The stiff upper lip? Neoliberalism?

Contemporary British society is an enduring reflection of Blair's and Thatcher's bizarre experiments,the opposites of good jurisprudence and good law. Even Boris Yeltsin could see that neither had a bull's notion about anything and were talking through their hat. He, Yeltsin,had seen enough of social market experiments and 'free-market' economics by 1997 to last him a lifetime. He handed over to someone who is destined to lead Russia to complete ruin if he does not realise that you never trust an opponent in an armed conflict. Those fighting at the frontline on both sides and those being called up to fighting are his mortal enemies. A dualist democratic-authoritarian  government has taken over from the right-wing.

Blair and the rule of law?

Blair believed firmly in using extra-judicial measures up to and including physical torture and false imprisonment for long periods. Those were the tactics he directed at his opponents who had no union membership card,something Jim Brown, Derek Parton,Brendan Heuston and the local trade union official tried to deny myself. Even SIPTU or a democratic  trade union officer or official  never denies a subscription-paying member a membership card. Members of tiny, insignificant left-wing groups such as the Communist Party of Ireland are not democrats or interested in anything other than the next expenses cheque from the Department of Education or union central office.

Crimes against humanity in Ireland? My solution?

Indict Tony Blair,Robin Cook's widow and Jack Straw for crimes against humanity and bring them in handcuffs before the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Seize Blair's twelve luxury houses. Alternatively,he could present himself voluntarily for trial to the International Criminal Court.

Likewise,let us not forget Jack Straw,that is,the main culprit in mass murder by the British and US governments. Whatever one thinks about Putin's war against Ukraine,he has stopped NATO dead in its tracks, something which any responsible Russian leader should have done decades ago rather than chasing after the elusive rainbows of Peace and 'foreign treasure' .

As I say elsewhere in this series of articles (or 'posts') there is nothing radical about nationalism but that there can be residuary interest in national democracy of a semi-socialist kind of you are on the left.

That is the popular direction of social democracy since the Fall of the Soviet experiment of nationalist socialism. 

This Stalinism or national democracy or nationalist socialism scorned by Lenin was what ran the Soviet Union in the 1930's.

In 1937-8 widespread disenchantment set in at the rapid pace of state capital accumulation and reckless disregard for human life and legal freedoms in many countries which had fallen under the spell of this nationalist socialism.

Communism because of isolation had never pursued a truly Marxist path of equality but rather had run with the idea of deprivation of the former rulers of all rights.

In fact the 1935 Constitution restored those rights only to meet with widespread opposition from the Old Bolsheviks (Atheistic Communism,The Vatican,1937).

Socialism on the German model or statist type limited democracy was the option favoured by Lenin after the collapse of the industrial trusts in April 1918. German or 'True' socialism is not universal state ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange but rather "nationalisation of the commanding heights of the economy". A mixture of private and state ownership of same.

When Socialism of the Stalin type faced fascism in every country in Europe after 1919,the international association of communist parties supported coalitions with those formerly disenfranchised by the Leninist. That was a search for progressive forces to unite with and put in the driving seat.

The latter policy only changed when in the 1970's Russia was threatened with industrial obsolescence and industrial bit part player in Europe.

The United States emerged as the main threat to Russian sovereignty in the 1950's and was in that role until its supersession by the Chinese in recent years.

However,China is an insular society as was Germany before the War and can never in its traditions or outreach to other countries project its culture as did the Russian monolith and as did US hegemony in response.

Both Russian geographic expanse and American tyranny are an existential threat to China in its primordial state as it finds itself.

Neither Modern Russia nor antediluvian China want anything to do with Marxism and legality in the former instance and anything with even a tinge of constitutional democracy or parliamentary representation as it exists in fair and egalitarian societies in the latter instance.

The working man and elections. A Rallying Cry.

Those who create with hand or mind the wealth of society and those who are maintained as pensioners, disabled, sick or unemployed should listen closely to the leaders of organised labour before they cast their votes in any election.

Forget the naysayers and PROPHETS OF DOOM and stick to the Labour Party as your Number One and Only choice. In the South of Ireland? The Irish Labour Party,or Social Democrats,or in the North of Ireland the Social Democratic and Labour Party,or a candidate endorsed by trades unions.In Northern Ireland we have a very different sort of political culture. So,better still,vote for someone who has ended up in the same situation as yourself,or even worse than yourself,not someone who moves from one comfortable job to another without reasonable explanation. Do not waste your vote on someone who does not state publicly and openly that he is committed to solely peaceful means and political debate with his opponents and telling the police what he knows about crime, particularly drugs-related violence. Vote for someone who does not associate with hooligans,thugs, vigilantees or gangs.

Vote only for an honest politician who tells the truth openly and who publicly stands up for the whole community.

NEVER  vote for a candidate who is not for THE DEMOCRACY OF THE 99%.

Throw aside Get Rich Quick politics and VOTE WITH YOUR HEAD,NOT WITH YOUR HEART.

Your children and family come first. Not your drinking friends.

Don't allow A Green Tory to buy your vote with a pint of watered down brown beer while he celebrates later with Malibu from a boot.

Politicians and police. In extremis

All politicians have merits but very few of them are prepared to act or speak up for someone they do not personally know unless their Council seat depends on it. That's how they make their money. Rarely will a politician speak up for any individual particularly against the police and medical profession. The police and DUP and Orange Order are the people Sinn Fein and poor loyalist get their orders from. Politicians think doctors can do no wrong. Policemen help doctors against people suing doctors for compensation for outrageous blunders and criminal neglect or, merely,invoking a solicitor's protection or complaining about a doctor or policeman. A bad policeman or politician always gets found out in the end and haunts their constituent or constituents who exposed them for the rest of their lives. Ex-policemen create a lot of trouble for litigants. After retirement policemen have a lot of power. An incompetent doctor or solicitor does the same thing as an ex-policeman. All interfere with court proceedings and hinder timely outcomes when not obstructing justice and OFTEN undermining the rule of law.

A timely remedy?

 Write directly to the Chief Constable or talk  to a Chief Superintendent if you have any problems with any of the above professional people. They are responsible for a lot of educated people's problems, them and nobody else.

Revolution. Democratic or social?

The question of revolution i.e. a profound political or social transformation is neither an exclusively violent or peaceful event, national or international but is a sometimes slow, sometimes dramatic, growing over from one form of political and social arrangement and economy to a very different type.

Forget blather about counterrevolution in Germany and Czechoslovakia. There was a democratic movement for change and higher living standards, nothing else. There was no subsequent reversal of social attainments although some of those social gains were put on a new economic basis, particularly in Czechoslovakia and in East Germany.

In Czechoslovakia and Germany and Russia, it is commonly acknowledged that Die Wende was a democratic movement for higher living standards,an opening up to the West,a blowing off of the political cobwebs and an end to political and economic atrophy.

The Revolution of 1917 in Russia was likewise for "Peace,Bread and Land" in October and for "pure" democracy in February. Both revolutions were a rejection of war and autocracy and for democracy. Those who claim otherwise are out of touch with reality.

All countries and states experience a revolution sooner or later be it glorious or ignominious and sometimes it brings more heat than light. All revolution has its origins in stagnation or arbitrary rule. However,cast your minds back, partisans of dying movements and bipolar politics,to the American Revolution of 1776,not the first by any stretch of the imagination,and you will see the elephant in the room in Marx's dictatorship of the proletariat. The central problem of a so-called dictatorship of the proletariat is the battle for democracy i.e. the thorough-going,root-and-branch,periodic transformation of society and the  need for far-going reforms.

Violence 

Without talking about or referring to violent revolution -and that does happen where reaction and force majeure block any hope of progress for the majority and the armed garrison is wavering and plotting a mutiny-it is better to choose the path of peace. I will in other blogs in my profile answer the question as to why historians and reporters should turn to "the Nazi quick-step" (Der Spielplan, July-August 1988) or the orders of "a junior Lenin limbering up" (John Bowyer Bell,1983,Sunday Press) for real content to a democratic transformation or violent overturn.

Where there is international conflict and internecine civil war and it is invariably not a very good judgement of the situation to describe revolution as anything other than a struggle for civil rights or national sovereignty,"jaw-jaw" is the best option over "war-war".

When however there is aggression or international reaction of the type of "militant atheism and racist barbarism" (Pope Benedict) then the country attacked must resolve in association with the comity of nations and offended parties,races and groups of people both directly and indirectly affected to seek a path to nothing short of "total victory" and "the complete surrender of the aggressor".

 That happened in the last century and is clearly happening in the Ukraine now with a NATO encirclement manoeuvre. Therefore, sensible,well-adjusted people in other countries should hold out the hand of conditional welcome to Ukrainian refugees and offer humanitarian aid while scoring their government.

THAT assistance,not filibustering about a far away country represents a DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION.

The post-1945 scenario 

Following the wars of empires came the wars of classes. That outcome has now been superceded by the forces of Progress against chaos. 

Trotskyites, Communists and anarchists are the definite disciples of Father Chaos,those isolated people and a few headaches such as Neal Davidson and soldiers,usually those in very senior positions in their respective organisations.

As Bill Belloni said in 1986,"I'll leave any fighting to real heroes such as you,Joe,who work for a living. I'm off so fuck this for a game of soldiers".

That is why a small band of IRA volunteers who joined the IRA after 1981- not the internment "arrest operation" to quell civil disturbances such as Bloody Sunday is still known to this day as "Heroes of the SAS". 

Why,so?

 They kept their cool in a revolutionary situation engineered by their leaders and remembered that they were volunteers and dressed in mufti because they were responding to "an aggressive incursion" by a hostile army from  another country.

Perhaps,as I put it in 2001-3,"One bullet in Baghdad would solve the whole problem but it has to come from inside Saddam's entourage or Army and another in London".

The Russian Revolution of February 1917 had nothing to do with Lenin, Trotsky or Stalin. They were far away and under close surveillance and arrest or imprisoned.

It was the work of people such as Axelrod and,particularly,Parvus. They wanted social democracy and reforms to protect the poor and most vulnerable and had long seen through the bookish truisms of Lenin,a man who was forever engaged in infighting and catcalling and backstabbing. Lenin was a man who who would fight with his own shadow. 

That Lenin characteristic became clear in the West in the 1920's when his works were first published and he was characterised by Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in the boxing short comedy film as was Marx by the Marx Brothers.

The October Revolution 

Lenin took over at the helm after he rallied war-weary soldiers and the peasantry for Peace,Bread and Land.

The democrats?

Robertson ( The Russian Revolution,1967,UK) notes that Parvus received 30 million gold francs to his Swiss bank account to take Russia out of the war. That money came from the German Treasury in 1917. Chaos and disorder soon followed because money convinces the rioter and criminal to take to the streets.

 The assistance of the poor can be bought and bought cheap as was that of those other 'democratic' revolutionaries, the Provos,in our own country.

 Their paymasters were the Irish Government. They transferred funds to the Citizens Defence Committees.

 Wealthy Irish Americans also helped fund insurrection and the Northern imbroglio until it crashed civil society and the Southern economy and the Irish institutions of state were undermined openly and privately by these 'soldiers games'.

It has to be remembered that Ireland has never had a social revolution other than the agricultural Revolution of 1882-1913.

Between 1886 and 1912 land was transferred out of the hand of settler seigneurs and sold to those who worked it.

There has never been a socialist revolution here. What we had instead was a strong dose of national democracy.

National democracy was based on Thirties nationalist socialism or corporatism.

In the Ireland, domestic capitalism was so weak and big farmers so brutally self-interested that small businessmen formed a ring around the handbags to magic a social transformation and bring the poor on board.

In Germany and Italy,corporatism was based on the home market because the entire corpus of domestic capital was weak and labour unrest rampant.In both countries, surplus value was directed into self-aggrandisement and preparations for war.

Ireland was not dissimilar to the Soviet Union but properly and land remained largely in the case of capital accumulation and agriculture entirely so very unlike the murderous arrangements in the Soviet Union. There everything was based on commonality.

Intellectual Property Theft

Syndicates set up to steal other people's technical and technological innovations are formed around young men at school and university by priests, doctors, lawyers, soldiers, sporting organisations, politicians, gambling family members and mafiosi like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs when their victim has a good education and is naturally talented . A mafia of acquaintances, casual and semi-permanent,family and otherwise, brutally  exploit their victims. The corporate entities involved refuse to pay  real technical innovators what they are owed under copyright and patent law. 

In Fermanagh the FBI agent,Noel Maguire, and the FBI priest,J. Mc V., initiated this terrorist campaign in my instance in 1977.

 They acted on behalf of the Irish Government and US State Department and a syndicate of businessmen,local, English,Irish and American.

The only protections in these instances of theft from myself which prefaced a police-medical terror campaign of arrest, imprisonment and brutality were provided by trade unions, honest lawyers,the decent policeman and a good politician.

The internet and information technology are stolen technical  innovations and purloined intellectual property. It occurs to me that the US is no more the proprietor of its IT and "inventions" than Ancient Rome was of the water wheel or Nazi Germany of the 'Enigma' machine. Those are regimes matched in barbarism.

How does a computer interface work?

The Digital Age is based on a first class knowledge of logic,philosophy and comparative technique,most of it exclusively English (and that means English,not British)...and not even Bernaers-Lee claims that he came up with the internet...

Since I have not been paid for the invention of the narrow-axle street-cleaner by Scarab Merlin,the telescopic hoist vehicle (Teleporter) manufactured in England,the range of mini-diggers with mechanical shovel by JCB and Hitachi,the all-in-one roadmender vehicle by Pierce of Wexford,the B-Klasse Mercedes in 1600 cc and 2200 cc,the longer-wheelbase General Motors Corsa, the handheld grinder jaw-machine for preparing damaged concrete staircases for repair, the triple- and multiple -feed,radar-guided naval machine guns by Oerlikon and the Volvo safety-cage,I surrender all my intellectual property rights to those innovations to everyone and anyone who wants to use them.

Since no associate or former law student at Queen's University Belfast has come forward to corroborate my allegations that the greater part of these inventions were stolen by PSNI/IRA admirers of Swedish Wonderboys and the Irish and American governments and by the Northern Ireland Police Authority, I leave the use of my inventions saor in aisce to anyone who wants to use them.

Likewise,the ideas for information technology stolen by the United States State Department are free to be used by anyone who wants them. Any property rights in encryption,the internet or the basics of the software currently in use certainly does not belong to Google, Microsoft and Apple. Anyone has a right to use them. The US government poisoned me with Chlenbuterol, amphetamines and cocaine as "payment". The US is a country which never had its head properly screwed on. The US hasn't invented anything since 1934. Its best days are in the past and the problem there is like all countries at a certain stage of development, schizoaffective women spies and psychotic secret policemen.

No mon',no fun, America. The Golden Rule? America's prosperity is built on drugs and theft.

Internet developments. Encryption

The dual alternating system of encryption has given way to the Carousel Model (the "autonome").

In the software's ambiguities such as "Save ," or "Ok",by "Okay" is meant much more accurately delete changes. We see,here, a disambiguation which finds its best formulation in "Everything turns into its opposite" (Karl Marx) . There are many more anachronistic pieces of this twisted, contradictory, contorted, contrarian logical outworking of Scottish Presbyterian  reasoning. 

That makes  accessing the internet a skill,albeit a simple skill.

Tutors do not like to hear modernities and non-germane matters discussed in tutorial groups or class. They have their own views. Some tutors are nationalists,some are conservatives and some of them are anxious about speaking in public of their views.

In the case of the Southern government,it profitted from intellectual property theft in my instance to the value of € 18.3 billions  (November 2019) and left me to starve in a Parisian night shelter. George Redmond and Albert Reynolds were the ringleaders for those who threw me out of my flat. Yesterday's men!

Steve Jobs? A get-rich-quick type in a company of get-rich-quick scientists and thieves from a state and country which is past its best.

These people stake a claim on others creativity through the lower courts but always fall at the first hurdle when brought before the High Courts in Belfast or Dublin. It is then that these people resort to brutality and force in association with people such as O Brien, Cahill, Kiernan,Keenan, Johnston and others,too numerous to mention.

Let me be crystal clear- I do not have any property rights in the use of digitalised "dichotomous ambiguity" encryption. I merely adapted the Polish invention in the Enigma machine to digital radio transistors and radio communication,and,it must be said the receiver and transmitter walkie-talkie of US invention was a long neglected invention given new life by the mobile telephone (Die ,,Handy").

I also invented the working artificial limb before I left university.

This invention is based on the concept that the brain sends an electric signal to the limbs which can be tapped into by an electronically-operated carbon composite lightweight limb to restore a natural debility caused by the loss of a limb.

The aim is as ever,as St Paul wrote,to aim for perfection and correct the deficiencies left behind by illnesses such as meningitis or road accidents.

File. A traumatised mind consigns traumatic memories and experiences to forgetfulness.

Format. While in the dustbin of the mind or 'filing cabinet',the mind sorts them into order and sequence and category.

Edit. While stacked away,the mind unconsciously edits out the abstruse and dramatic and pops up a sanitised version to the living consciousness.

Therefore,we say,this invention is the product of the probing of an intelligent mind into fading and illucid experience and reminisce in order to come to terms with the uncomfortable in human consciousness based on life experience insofar as that mind can exercise its power over the unconscious mind.

I reiterate in the light of recent US blackballing of Samsung,Google, Huawei and others that the concept of File-Format-Edit does not belong to Microsoft or,Apple Inc. the latter the beneficiary of US Military Intelligence plans to "grow the Irish economy"  no more than the idea to adapt Copy and Paste to the internet. I am the inventor of the designs in question and I shall decide what use they are put to by whoever.

Because "reward" came in the form of hospital confinement,medical-political blacklisting and poisoning and because of forty years of denial of rights before the courts by the judicial -police-legal clique,I SURRENDER my property rights to my adaptations and designs.
