We turn on our radios at news time to get real information on the affairs of the day from people who are not apologists for loyalist gangsters such as Bouchier-Hayes,Eve Conlon-Gallagher or Kate Mc Cusker. From the BBC news broadcasts we hear only apologists for armed members of the population such as the RUC/British Army or spokesmen for cornerboys with concealed knives and knuckledusters. The political spokesmen for the latter know only too well that criminals are taking their orders from nationalist politicians. They are merely the ragtag and bobtail associated with urban gangs.

.My words of warning,not advice?

Don't give the BBC news broadcasts any credence and ask for them to be turned off if you are in a public place because BBC broadcasts are the well-trained and meticulously rehearsed voices of British Judaism. They are certainly not what they claim to be,namely fair and independent or in any way impartial. Their manner is grossly derogatory of Britain's opponents and the British Israelite tone is overbearing, arrogant and oppressive. We know from our experience of the British media in this country that anyone who courts the attention of the British media and its government eventually takes the imperialist path and falls for the wiles of old maids paid to gather information.

Our circumscribed democracy and the BBC. The truth 

In Northern Ireland,I wonder if people in politics and the media can read that revolutionary,far-left but good old-fashioned nationalist publication, the Irish News before they talk nonsense about that body of MI 5 frontmen or compromised political parties having successfully got the vote out.

Did not the Irish News carry a report some years ago that over twenty per cent of those entitled to vote are not on the Electoral Register. Perhaps,as someone whose head has been turned by years of British and Irish Army noise measures,I am suffering from a failure of memory,but is the number not now closer to forty per cent...I wonder but "my head is in a spin,my feet don't touch the ground..."...

...is not voter abstention at elections,those on the electoral rolls who refuse to cast their ballot,over 45%....

I wonder,what is all the chatter concerning growing Sinn Fein political mandates.

Cut to the quick and get real,broadcasting organisations,particularly those with input from government agencies. Your broadcasts do not reflect the objective truth no more than those of the Soviet Union represented public opinion or real concerns before 1988.

And that is why progressive revolutions or reactionary turnarounds occur,be they political or social,violent or peaceful.

It is now that the voice of the Hebrews is being heard loudest in England,the South and in the US. Its whining,corncrake-yell and ridiculous shrill,carping tone and bizarre internal rhetoric are full of nonsense about terrorism.

Who allows these news broadcasts and who regulates the content?

It is clear that there is no internal editorial control in Northern Ireland over the contents of Radio Ulster news bulletins and that they are merely a drum-roll for marching feet.

Force must often be used to restrain an active aggressor or a violent thug.

The internment and prison systems grow from a mixture of self-defence and humanistic reasoning.

The application of the basic laws of international defence entails that Israel takes a more measured response to Islamic lawlessness than it has taken. Its reaction is that of an old Salamanic harpie like a Communist of the Stalin or Asiatic type-I am thinking of Putin and his executioners-grossly in excess of anything pardonable or acceptable.

Israel must lock its neck and pull out of Gaza and the Golan Heights.

Israel has no more right to take deterrent or preventive measures than I had to mortar Newry to ease IRA operations or engage in actions of armed aggression in the North of Ireland.

In the end,all soldiers,killers and criminals are lost but we should not celebrate the fact with acts of barbarism. Israel should not be lighting an unquenchable fire in the Middle East. Sundry elements are drawn into the service of a society on its knees, one,like ours,on the cusp of millenial change.

Artificed street activity is designed to induce paripetal madness,stimulate fear and reduce even the strongest frame to vague paranoia. In Britain and Ireland's beleaguered situation,this targetting becomes a permanent feature of life which endures indefinitely and becomes a reflex response of police and authorities.

Surely, police officers can see where constant surveillance and saturation policing being it by policeman, soldier or security guard is leading...

Our listening public should expect no sensible explanation from the Irish nationalist politician who claims to be the homely charmer and mollycoddles us. He acts in association with the local parish priest or religious layman and calls for more spending on psychiatry in our doctor-besotted country. 

Ask this pig in the parlour," Do you not speak out that a psychiatric hospital is a form of confinement, even more so than a prison? There is neither criminal charge nor determinate period of detention. Are you trying to get me or a family member killed or injured? Talk a bit of sense. Nobody in the health service does any work. They're laughing up their sleeve at people like you who advocate more health spending. Wise up,either that or go and drown yourself in Lough Erne!"

Similarly,his fan club. Listening to a maladjusted individual or politician who comes on the radio talking nonsense about "mental illness" makes no sense to most former inmates of the asylum.

In Ireland, North and South,we live in a police state organised by politicians, police, Catholic clergymen, soldiers, lawyers,judges and medical personnel.

Be on your guard against clergymen and those who conceal the mailed fist in a velvet glove. I am referring to nationalist politicians.

 Turn off the radio news if it is annoying you.

Avoid fair-weather 'friends' such as cult media figures, middle class journalists and nationalist politicians who are never far away from the microphone. Politicians, professional and concealed, like to give speeches to the unwary and naive. Their lives and those of their followers' are wound up in broadcasting stations'  balderdash.

Trade unions represent a great social good with little or no protection  from government and precious little support from civil bodies. 

Because of the historic influence of those recalcitrant thugs,Communists in trade unions there has been with much noise, little light shed on the internal workings of trade unions.

In Northern Ireland,we are involved in a struggle for mere democracy or national independence and social wellbeing. In his latter years,the lost leader of the British left found comfort in this socialist democracy,not socialism,that being Tony Benn. (The arrest of Tony Benn proves that there is nothing more certain than right-wingers and their medical agents turning turtle under pressure of events such as the political crisis engendered by the collapse of Marxist dictatorships).

In the South,big money interests legislate reluctantly when confronted by the labour movement. They have to be confronted with the ultimate  threat of a general strike or generalised labour discord to gain concessions for the low paid and marginalised. That is one thing a fat English Labour and Tory politician and the rich man have in common, neglect for the poor and down-at-heel and BRAZEN IDOLATRY OF MONEY AND POWER OVER PEOPLE'S LIVES.

The magnificent 11.5-14% pay award won by refuse and recycling workers and litter-pickers and street cleaners and lower grades of district council workers is a great victory for the 2022 strike movement.

As The British Army in Northern Ireland Volumes 1-3 puts it,"The Irish country people are long on talk and short on information."

City people see in country people comrades in the fight for jobs and higher wages. The worldly wise journalist and advocate sees country people's socialism as no more than stubbornness and truculence. The Irish countryman sees in the town dweller a fanatic out to cheat him. His simple notions and transparent deceptions must be met with scorn and contempt. 

 The countryman's reactionary nature is down to a mind full of precipitate nonsense, real-life games of violence and thuggery and conservative mischief .

Why,so?

 Because the country person is a 'cute hoor' who pushes someone from the town into the frontline to take the bullet for him. Those who mix with idiots become like them.

That explains a lot of the tomfoolery elucidated and dramatised in my oral soliloquoy in July-August 1988 in Rathmines,Dublin,a 'drama' with profound and far-reaching consequences for the Eastern Socialists.

Why are courts the prerogative of the rich?

Politicians thrive in a background of no labour organisation having the power or determination to bring them to account. The trade union official is in an ambiguous relation with a politician (Lenin,Left Wing Socialism,an Infantile Disorder,1919). 

However,in the North of Ireland,these days, politicians can do more to help individuals than trade unions but they can only do so because they mediate social differences. Sooner or later, every politician will spurn his or her constituent and ask him or her to go away.

Labour is better for jobs and housing, industrial employment and public housing, certainly not private housing.

Take for instance the period of reflation after the labour troubles and strikes of the years 1978-79.

In Northern Ireland industrial employment rose from 210 000(1979) to 230 000 (1981).

Then the wreckers moved in with the demolition ball to destroy Britain's and Labour's industrial heritage. Because of the reactionary influence of an over-weened police force and a cowboy in the White House the real economy of the West entered a terminal decline.

That decline in Northern Ireland has led to endemic, unreported crime,the triumph of the idler and the waster and the exaltation of the showbiz celebrity and spiv.

A waged worker does not have security of employment. That fact marks the origin of trade unionism (and craft hostility to general workers and the unemployed worker).

The government employee has no need of trade unions and should not be in one because he usually has more than adequate means of economic support. In addition ,he enjoys political solidarity in the form of employer arbitration,civil society support and legal protection.

The craft worker and general worker only unite against government employee when circumstances are pressing and urgent. Those circumstances embrace minimal remuneration to keep living standards up and maintain safe working arrangements and adequate provision for sick leave, unemployment and leisure.

Only a Labour fool such as Brendan Howlin or Ernest Blythe talks and acts in the manner of the country squire by cutting wages,living standards and social standards. The trimmer is never welcome in labour circles and his nemesis is the general strike when trade unions break free from the halter of a runaway coach. That is indicative of a political collapse. 

Eventually nationalist whimsies whether they be from Fine Gael or Fianna Fail or Sinn Fein or country wiseacres prevail and society goes back in time about twenty or thirty years.

The lessons of the past are clear.

Irish Labour Party heads always desert and betray trade unionists and the poor and clear a path for quack remedy salesmen such as Sinn Fein and independents as they describe themselves. In the latter instance,I refer to Danny Healy-Rae,the Kerry landlord.

While there may be very little that can be said in favour of Fianna Fail, under Ahern it led a democratic revolution which laid bare the timbers of the sinking ship of cronyism and nationalism and corruption so beloved of the Catholic Church and GAA. Those who lament the passing of the age of Lynch, Haughey and Reynolds lament the passing of the age of terrorism, unrest and emigration and they do not favour the economic rebirth of our country.

It  has been led by Fianna Fail,solely and alone with only the occasional prod from others.

Fianna Fail is getting on its feet again after a difficult hiatus .

Even Sinn Fein has become a democratic party and the nationalist element of all parties is in retreat. A country rescued from the scrapheap is set on the path of open government and strict accountability.

That,my good sirs,is a DEMOCRATIC revolution. Not a workers republic but the patient's condition is improving and he is out of a coma (or 'bind').

This individual is the loquacious Free State a..ehole who suggested bringing in Latvian teachers to undermine teachers organisations and paying them Latvian rates of pay in his custom-made Banana Republic down South.

What sort of Irish unity is his idyll to be? 

The interests of farmer and townsman, tradesman and labourer, shopkeeper and customer,rich factory owner or landlord and worker and tenant cannot be united or truly reconciled in any sort of meaningful harmony. That is REALITY.

 His is the nationalist hashing of Dublin 4-types,Gardai,Irish Army sergeants, street-crawlers, the declassed Sinn Fein canaille, the farmers and those hardy annuals affiliated to a US-inspired paramilitary group whose apogee of political violence culminated thirty years before its political apogee. 

Mc Williams petite bourgeois scribbling in the Sunday Business Post is leading nowhere other than up a blind alley in terms of political adherence to modern civil and economic norms.

National democratic politics as represented by the policies of Fianna Fail and socialist democracy and Labour speak with a truer voice to modern Ireland than the literary meanderings of such nationalist scribblers.

 In terms of what they claim as their own unique policies,Sinn Fein are coat-tailing social democrats and the labour movement. As with street-crawlers,they are out for 'something cheap' or hawking old wares' and Mary Louise Mc Donald is only a fishwoman and street-caller.

Can Mc Williams not just go away and hide under a large tree and stop mixing with dangerous people who menace and threaten their political opponents?

This nationalist political model was based on political terror and vigilantee violence. The model for vigilantees is police menaces. 

A police state worked very thoroughly in Russia between 1919 and 1953 but the Soviet economy ran out of road in the 1980's. The contemporary allegations of technical incompetence levelled at the bureaucratic model of statehood,the Soviet Union,are completely out of touch with a mighty engine of socialist construction. That,those of you who look down on Communism,my merry gentlemen, is an incontrovertible fact of history. Ask the elderly Germans and ageing people of the East if you doubt my assessment.

Fianna Fail,1997-2008?

Recent capital  expansion underwrote the runaway inflation of domestic house prices and only allowed marginal gains in living standards for the working poor. There are no social improvements of lasting significance. A large part of the expanded lower (industrial) and higher (financial) capital expansion went to underwrite property development.

Fianna Fail 1992-7?

Reynolds grand initiative to create a low-tax economy in association with Ray Mc Sharry,Bertie Ahern and Charlie Mc Creevy amounted to financial pyramid schemes and a regurgitation of Thatcher's fickle economic certainties (when all three were not cooking the books). Nationalist politics boiled down to a piece of political haberdashery.

A realistic appraisal of economic change 

Ireland's industrial and economic growth was bankrolled not just by German and European Union fiscal support but by US industrial benevolence. That impetus was something bought at the cost of loss of American imperial treasure in blood,capital and technology.

 All went to a basket case country,an immature people and a government which received the accolade of international pariah. 

Why,so? 

Many factors but at the root of it lay Irish country people's hostility to change, cultural backwardness and the profound social maladjustment of its people.

Wake up,your wealth is being exported to a country which claims that it owns the rights to the internet, accessible web design,mobile phone and MRI scanner,claims which are manifestly untrue.

Do not listen to a halfwit such as Cliff Taylor or David Mc Williams talking nonsense about industries pulling out. Those people and government advisers are not competent in macroeconomics. They should be given a large amount of laxatives to find what has made their bellies like those of poisoned pups. When they are at it,those handing out the suppositories should give them to puffed-up powder pastry types such as doctors, politicians and lawyers and Gardai....

Making improvements for the majority?

Ideology. The stereotyping of the poor

One of the common characteristics of self-inflating bores,hasbeens,know-alls,hurlers-on-the-ditch,Marxist agitators, self-appointed popular 'leaders' and "untaught professors" is their references to 'lumpen' elements and those they refer to as "mentally ill".

 Who can they mean?

People are people and many change their class.

The classification as lumpen derives from Marx. The classes of Marx and others, notably the Church socialists,are not fixed in time and space. 

Ignore bar-room spoofers and pontificating bores. If you have difficulty understanding labour and classes and democratic socialist politics,begin with workers as wage labourers and poor people as poor people. Proceed from there. 

Income differentials as between the working class and the poor who are sustained by welfare doles have narrowed in those countries whose ruling class Marx agitated against. In those which have not followed his doctrines of social justice,the multi-millionaires pay no more than 25% income tax and flat rate taxation advocates are winning out. In the latter instance,I point to the United States.

Income narrowing between high-paid worker and unemployed and the poor owes nothing to modern trade unions. Those changes are due to political intervention. Trade unions and the trade union bureaucracy are largely irrelevant because of modern narrow-minded approaches to the resolution of social conflicts in society as between wages and welfare rates.

The passage of equal pay legislation and minimum wage acts and the development of social initiatives in Europe have seen off most revolutionary political conflicts between the classes. 

In Germany,first land of state capitalism (and a measure of social insurance) Marxists are viewed as extremists.

Elsewhere income equity is the outcome of democratic socialism at a political level.

As between worker and poor,the Catholic Church preaches a preferential option for the poor. The Victorian capital  expansion and social dichotomy which originates with the breakdown of feudalism led to the growth of great differentials in income. Those differences were consolidated by government,employers and,latterly,trade unions, all.

Modern times

Anyone who thinks that a trade union official or officials or,on the other side of the equation,a shopkeeper, doctor or lawyer gives a fig for the poor is fooling himself. They certainly do not.

However,the Church does not regard a poor person as an "eejit" and regards a trade union official or "revolutionary socialist" as "someone who may have to be killed" (Rerum Novarum, Pope Leo X111).

Reflections

While the socialist and socialists of a democratic type regard the clergy of all faiths as irrelevant and as Jesus referred to them,"blind guides",few criticise their traditional support for organised charity. In practice the Catholic Church's preferential option for the poor exists without lowering expectations for the many or reversing social gains for the poor.

Ultraleftism. Ridiculous claims made by Russian Marxists,German peaceniks,Irish Republicans and Indian doctors.

The bizarre nonsense talked by Russian Marxists in a divided and troubled world- was it ever any different we must ask ourselves- compares well with the even more bizarre rubbish spouted by German peaceniks and Irish Republicans that everyone is wrong apart from them and we are all equal in potential and ability.

We are all equal in the eyes of the law at preliminary level but,contrary to Marx's deterministic philosophising,we are not equal in labour productivity. That contention is an old English fable. Again,puzzle not if there is Marx's Universal Equivalent in money or equality in the value of the labour power of each worker because there is rarely  in the former instance and never in the latter instance. Disregard also the claims of the eventual alignment of international comparative rates of profitability and national relative rates of capital accumulation...

As for the Indian medical bookworms,have they read nothing written since 1948? An ingrained characteristic of Indian doctors' training is the unshakeable belief in Lysenko's socio-biogenetics. That is,that social factors can modify the human gene. Rather,can they not simply accept that conscious feelings  pass fleetingly through  the human mind. 

Anything else has the standing of a monstrous CPSU invention.

No universal biogenetic determinism rather emotional reflexes,thoughts and emotions are but ships in the night!

Marx and Engels hijacked the English labour movement in the 1860's. That duo were left behind by the Germans at the 1875 Unity Conference for whatever reason. Trade unionists are usually middle-of-the-road in politics. While bolshy at times,they can be incentivised with higher wages to be more flexible and give way to employers demands for higher productivity.

These "scientific socialists" attempt to hoist themselves up onto the back of workers and claim the credit for the actions of  others but each and every one is at heart a backslider and a curmudgeon,the road to no town.

In the North Sinn Fein's vote fell from 227 000 in the Assembly elections to 175 000 in the last local elections. Their core vote has been on the wane since its highpoint in the 2010's.

PBP,Sinn Fein and the people who inspire them such as the Workers Party are the mortal foes of any democratic socialist government. (Populists and the opportunists never give the poor and working man their say in public affairs. They exist by and thrive on media spin and local intimidation.) The Marxist project,1858

Marx in Foundations of Political Economy (Grundrisse,1856-8) set out to write six different works. In the event he left only Volume 1 of Capital. That book focuses on the materialist conception of history, labour conditions,the origins and spread of industry,the profit motive,money and the accumulation of capital.

Communism and Socialism

Socialism as per Karl Marx teaches the interdependence and interrelationship of one to the other. Hegelian dialectics in opposition to Marx preaches the permanence of certain social and political phenomena whereas Marx repeats after Aristotle that nothing is permanent and "All melts into the ether."

Marxism in our times is confined to small groups of political amateurs and sociologists so what has talk of dialectics led to other than rude and robust responses to oppression from the class conscious  worker and poor man and talking  shops for rich dilettantes.

Russian economic problems were formed by the war exhaustion of 1917 and its well-known historic backwardness. In 1928 Russia regained its 1913 economic level.

 Somewhat unusually, I view the combination of public and private property as "actually existing communism" in the same way that one might refer to nationalisation as "actually existing socialism".

Problems with a mixed economy in a democratic, multi-party polis?

Problems and "contradictions which arise from real life" can be ironed out by political debate and responsible well-informed leaders. Russia is a much better place than in 1989. What wishful thinkers in the Western  media failed to report in the 1991 was that the trade unions called time on the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

 There is a balanced budget and a wise, learned and experienced man at the helm.

Jim Brown, Geoff Palmer and Eugene Mc Cartan were never welcome in any intelligent company. Nor today are Communists in Ireland or Asia tolerated by sane,reasonable people. The rule of law in Blair's Britain? Good governance?

 Blair's Britain was a society and country put on a path to ruin due to the lack of effective regulation of doctors, police and psychiatrists. We see in his ravings and tawdry legacy not a true democracy or Labour alternative to the Tories and,in Northern Ireland ,a hollow syncretism of opposing viewpoints. The Catholic Church created the Good Friday Agreement and a failed policing and judicial model.

He was well-known before he became involved in politics for not knowing a single topic of law properly. In politics,he wanted to give speeches,'lead from the front' and 'organise' intractable and irredeemable chaos.

Blair and Thatcher? The stiff upper lip? Neoliberalism?

Contemporary British society is an enduring reflection of Blair's and Thatcher's bizarre experiments,the opposites of good jurisprudence and good law. Even Boris Yeltsin could see that neither had a bull's notion about anything and were talking through their hat. He, Yeltsin,had seen enough of social market experiments and 'free-market' economics by 1997 to last him a lifetime. He handed over to someone who is destined to lead Russia to complete ruin if he does not realise that you never trust an opponent in an armed conflict. Blair and the rule of law?

Blair believed firmly in using extra-judicial measures up to and including physical torture and false imprisonment for long periods. Those were the tactics he directed at his opponents who had no union membership card,something Jim Brown, Derek Parton,Brendan Heuston and the local trade union official tried to deny myself. Even SIPTU or a democratic  trade union officer or official  never denies a subscription-paying member a membership card. Members of tiny, insignificant left-wing groups such as the Communist Party of Ireland are not democrats or interested in anything other than the next expenses cheque from the Department of Education or union central office.

Crimes against humanity in Ireland? My solution?

Indict Tony Blair,Robin Cook's widow and Jack Straw for crimes against humanity and bring them in handcuffs before the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Seize Blair's twelve luxury houses . He should present himself voluntarily for trial to the International Criminal Court.

Likewise,let us not forget Jack Straw,that is,the main culprit in mass murder by the British and US governments. Whatever one thinks about Putin's war against Ukraine,he has stopped NATO dead in its tracks, something which any responsible Russian leader should have done decades ago rather than chasing the elusive rainbows of peace and 'foreign treasure' .
